Vatsavatri, Hartalika, or Mahalakshmi Vrat Uddyapan Pooja is a traditional ritual performed by married and unmarried women to invoke the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity, wealth, and marital bliss. It is typically observed after the completion of the fast or vrat period, marking the auspicious conclusion of the vrat with a pooja ceremony.

The pooja usually involves:

1. Invocation of Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Ganesha

2. Chanting of Mahalakshmi stotra, Vrat katha, or devotional mantras

3. Offering of fruits, sweets, flowers, turmeric, and kumkum

4. Ritualistic worship of a Kalash, idol, or picture of Goddess Lakshmi

5. Distribution of Prasad to family members and participants

This ritual is usually conducted at the home of the woman performing the vrat, often with family members and female relatives participating.
