Pavmaan Abhishek

Description:

Pavmaan Abhishek is a sacred Vedic ritual in which the powerful Pavmaan Sukta (Pavamana Mantras) from the Rigveda are chanted while performing Abhishek (ritual bathing) of the deity, most commonly Lord Shiva.

The word Pavmaan means “that which purifies.” This Abhishek is especially known for its strong cleansing and purifying spiritual effect. During the ceremony:

1. Ganesh Poojan and Sankalp are performed.

2. Continuous chanting of Pavmaan Sukta takes place.

3. Abhishek is offered with water, milk, Panchamrut, bilva leaves, flowers, and sacred herbs.

4. Aarti and Prasad distribution conclude the ritual.

This Abhishek is often performed during Shravan month, Mahashivratri, special family occasions, or when seeking relief from ongoing problems or negativity.
