Sankashti Chaturthi Uddyapan Pooja

Description:

Sankashti Chaturthi Uddyapan Pooja is the concluding ritual of the Sankashti Chaturthi fast, observed every month on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of the waning moon (Krishna Paksha). Devotees fast and worship Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles, seek wisdom, and gain protection from challenges.

The Uddyapan ceremony marks the completion of the vrat (fast) and usually involves:

1. Ganesh Poojan and Sankalp

2. Chanting of the Ganesh Stotra or Ganapati Atharvashirsha

3. Offering Durva grass, flowers, modaks, and fruits to Lord Ganesha

4. Performing Abhishek of the Ganesha idol with milk, water, honey, and Panchamrut

5. Aarti and distribution of Prasad among family members

This ritual is performed either at home or in a temple, creating auspicious energy and invoking Lord Ganesha’s blessings.
