Satyanarayan Katha Pooja

Description:

Shri Satyanarayan Katha Puja is a sacred Hindu ritual dedicated to Lord Satyanarayan, a benevolent form of Lord Vishnu. The puja involves offering flowers, fruits, and sweets, along with the recitation of five stories that emphasize devotion, truthfulness, and keeping one’s vows.

This puja is usually performed on Purnima (full moon) or special occasions such as naming ceremony, Javal/Mundan (first haircut), after marriage, upon fulfillment of a vow, Vastu Shanti, and Griha Pravesh (housewarming).

By performing the puja with family and friends, chanting mantras, singing bhajans, and listening to the Katha, devotees invite peace, prosperity, and divine blessings into their lives. In Kali Yuga, performing this puja once or twice a year is considered especially auspicious and beneficial, helping maintain balance and positivity in life.
